What color are you?

We've had a very colorful morning here at Lewis Jewelers! Wendy was our speaker for our first Breakfast of Champions for 2012. (Breakfast for Champs is a monthly breakfast we have with speakers, a cute set up and delicious eats!) Since we're celebrating color this week, Wendy talked about color personalities at work. The colors consist of Gold, Blue, Green and Orange. Here's a tiny bit of info about each color:
  •  GOLD - The driving force for a gold personality is responsibility. Golds are conscientious, dependable invdividuals who want to do the right thing and follow established standards. Attributes for a Gold: Prepared, Reliable, On-Time, Appropriate, Follows rules, Details Oriented and Organized.
  • BLUE - The driving force is relationships. Before blues make a decision, they check to determine how it will affect the people involved. They will go the extra mile, often putting the needs of others before their own. Attributes for a Blue: Friendly, Helpful, Compassionate, Considerate, Cooperative, Emotional, Expressive, Imaginative, Creative and Affectionate.
  • ORANGE - Oranges are opportunistic. Their driving force is freedom. If they feel they do not have choices, they may just create some. Natural risk-takers, rules seem to be guidelines to aim for and are often flexible and negotiable. Attributes for Orange: Active, Take charge, Competitive, Negotiator, Spontaneous, Performer (they're entertaining!) and Multi-tasking.
  • GREEN - The driving force for Greens is competency. Naturally curious, they thirst for knowledge and information and like to come up with solutions and systems for solving problems and inventing a better future. Preferring to keep their emotions to themselves, they approach situations objectively. Attributes: Problem-solvers, Independent, Tenacious, Self-assured, Witty sense of humor, Logical, Analytical, Creative and Ingenious.
So which color are you? At first I felt like a Blue, but once Orange was explained I second guessed my first assumption. Honestly, everybody can have a little bit of every color so the real question should be which color dominates your personality? We learned that in order for a work environment to actually work together and accomplish goals there must be personalitites of each color. Imagine if everybody were an Orange personality type... that would be entertaining!

Here are a few pictures from our colorful morning breakfast meeting:

The beautiful breakfast set up... COLOR EVERYWHERE!

We picked a plate based on which color we thought we were.

Delicious food from The Egg and I.

We love Fiesta dinnerware... and bold colors!

Pick a plate!

Wendy speaking to the Team! She is definitely an ORANGE!

We're always full of laughs and giggles!

Wendy requested a quirky video
as an introduction to her presentation.
Quirky AND colorful? Done and done! Enjoy!
