Color Mix No. 2

I read that yellow is officially in this season. How fun are these bright and sunny pants?? If you're going to go bold with yellow pants why not go extra bold with red lips as well?! And while you're at it, go ahead and mix your metals! Classy red lips paired with eclectic jewelry screams confidence and it's always nice to exude confidence at work.

The First Week

Things have been a little crazy around Lewis lately... We finally moved! After months of anticipation the moment to pack up and move finally came! We all did some superhero moves and got everything packed during the week and in two days we moved everything over to our new location. That's right people, TWO DAYS. So here's a tiny glimpse into our move and first week at our new location. We're extremely excited to finally get to share the store with our customers!

 Friday, April 13 - Cindy and Slade got the permit to move in! WOOWHOO!!

 Saturday, April 14 - Some boxes had already been transported to the new store, but the jewelry... that was a different story. We had to wait for an armored car... 

 The armored car finally came!

We got some new Roberto Coin pieces this past week! The blue aquamarine necklace below is bright and brilliant in person. Not to mention extremely versatile! I'm thinking this piece of jewelry could be worked into any workwear outfit!

I guess the sunny weather brings lots of inspiration to the ladies of Lewis because everybody seemed to be pulling out their cutest outfits this week! I was having a hard time figuring out who was going to be The Lewis Loupe's very first Look of the Week, but when I saw Wendy wearing this fun and festive jacket the decision was quickly made!

Doesn't Wendy looking darling?! It amazes me that, even with multiple colors on, she still manages to add a pop of color... Now that's talent!

As part of our Fashion and Workwear Month, I'm going to be exploring color combinations! We're very much into color here at Lewis and we love to try funky combinations while keeping things professional. Being surrounded by beautiful and vivid pieces brings a lot of inspiration! So, for the very first Color Mix, I combined turquoise and coral!

Finding Inspiration

Do you ever wake up for work in the wee hours of the A.M. and just wish you could wear jeans? I'll admit it, I was super ecstatic for Go Texan Day. (The only day out of the year where jeans are allowed at work.) I realized once I got a big girl job that my denim week days were officially over and I dreaded the idea of putting together something appropriate for work. (I love wearing an old t-shirt with faded denim.) Once I began to work for Lewis Jewelers I was SO THANKFUL that we're not required to wear black suits and white button up shirts. We can actually have fun with fashion! I still wake up some days wishing I could wear my favorite denim jeans. When I start to feel this way, I look for inspiration! Since we're about to make the big move, all of us here at Lewis are looking for as much fashion inspiration as we can. After all, we want to look the part in our new store! With that said, this month on the blog is all about FASHION AND WORKWEAR! So get ready... the month of fashion has officially begun!
